Honeycomb consists of server software that transforms data from a database into an information map that can be be displayed through any Web browser.

All data are presented in a treemap, a two-dimensional representation of a multi-level hierarchy. Each data element is represented by a cell. The cell arrangement, size, and color each represent an attribute of that data element.
Moving the mouse over a cell brings up an information box that allows users to drill down without scrolling or loading another web page. Clicking on a cell brings up a menu of options, including links to more information or a transaction.
Group, Size, and Color controls are used to change how the data-elements are arranged and what the visual cues of size and color represent. The Honeycomb display changes instantly, allowing users to quickly see the data in ways that makes sense to them.
Filters let end-users eliminate irrelevant data-elements.
Graphical icons highlight key attributes of the data.
1. Honeycomb can simultaneously access multiple enterprise data sources.
2. The Honeycomb server modules can be installed on any existing Web or application server. The database access module is a set of scripts that pull data out of the data sources.
The Honeycomb creation module combines an HTML page template, the database data, and Honeycomb configuration parameters into a Web page.
3. The resulting Web page and the Java applets are automatically downloaded to the client's browser enabling all of the user-interactions to be made on the fly without additional server acces
User interactions are instantaneous and do not require additional server access. Deployment of Honeycomb only requires 3 - 6 weeks, most of which is conceptual design. Please contact us for additional information.
